Hi, its been some time that I've been here and before going for a break three years ago, I've been an active reviewer in AfC and the corresponding backlogs. Coming back now, you now require another userright for it. Would be great if I could do it all again and review and patrol pages better with this tools as I find the helper scripts kind of slow. Thanks a lot in advance. The Herald (Benison) (talk) 13:57, 9 November 2018 (UTC) The Herald (Benison) (talk) 13:57, 9 November 2018 (UTC)
The Herald Lack of recent participation and poor AfD record leads me to recommend against NPR at the present time. I'd suggest participation at AfD for a while to re-learn the Notability guidelines (a lot has changed in the past few years). — Insertcleverphrasehere (or here) 14:21, 9 November 2018 (UTC)
I'm unsure about this. Experience at AfC is a plus, but New Page Review is a lot more thorough than it used to be back in the day. @The Herald: can you review a couple of new articles in the backlog and show us where you're at?  Swarm  talk  22:19, 12 November 2018 (UTC)
@Swarm: On it.. The Herald (Benison) (talk) 12:10, 13 November 2018 (UTC)

I looked through the new pages feed after reading The Signpost's recent article on NPP, and it seems like a task I'd be able to help out with. I've read through the tutorial at Wikipedia:New pages patrol, and I hope my editing history will show I'm experienced enough to know how to follow the guidelines. Thanks for considering my request!
