Hi I am requesting AWB (JWB) right to assist me in adding WikiProject banners (mainly Hong Kong), fixing typos and tagging stale drafts with G13 without using Twinkle manually. Abelmoschus Esculentus 07:25, 11 November 2018 (UTC)
I'm mostly concerned about the context around these intended uses - adding banners is not something that can really be done semi-automated, nor should G13 nominations be added in a semi-automated manner (both because the drafts should be scrutinized before nomination and because mass-CSD nominations are considered disruptive. I'm not going to decline (yet) but I thought I would address my concerns. Primefac (talk) 16:37, 11 November 2018 (UTC)

I'm requesting permission to use AWB for my declared alternate account, to assuage my own paranoia about using AWB with my main account now that I have a functionary bit, and also because I like the idea (personally, not as a global policy) of running semi-automated edits without admin permissions. The bot is about to tell you that the squirrel does not meet the typical requirements, but my main account was already granted access before my RfA (I can't find a diff for that at the moment) and I'm pretty familiar with the software already (a handful of my 29,000 or so are AWB edits, but I can't get any of the tools that report numbers to work at the moment). I also realize this request is unconventional and promise not to hold it against anyone if this request is denied. Thanks. Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 18:51, 16 November 2018 (UTC)
